In 2018 the Deputy First Minister established the Scottish Learner Panel, made up of children and young people. The purpose was to provide insight into how our education system works and feels to those learners who it has been developed to serve and to further improve the voice of children and young people in the formulation of national education policy. At the 2019 Scottish Learning Festival children and young people shared their insight.
